Hello, I joined Dating Direct almost a year ago. I went on about 5 dates and whilst I liked most of the girls I met there really was no spark with any of them. After about 3 weeks Loraine made contact with me. We exchanged several emails and it soon became apparent that we shared a few things in common including friends and even that we had children in the same class at the local school! After about 3 weeks of emailing and phoning we agreed to meet at our local pub on a Sunday afternoon last September. When I first set eyes on Loraine I thought she was absolutely stunning. We were talking for over 3 hours on our first date and I realised something very special was happening. We met again about a week later and I took her out for a romantic dinner. Since last September our relationship has developed, we have been on 2 holidays, our families have met and our kids all get on (she has 2 as do I). She moved in with me back in May. It was my 50th birthday last weekend and Loraine organised everything. The day before my 50th Loraine called me upstairs and on my pillow she had left a heart shape made out of sea shells and in the centre was an engagement ring. The happiest day of my life! Then I told her that she had "stolen my thunder" and I went to my drawer and produced a ring that I was going to propose to her with at my 50th party! I really cannot believe all this has happened to me in the last 12 months. I have never been happier and have met the girl of my dreams and the person who I want to share the rest of my life with. We plan to get married next year and will probably get married on a cruise ship and have a family gathering when we get back. All I can say is thank you to Dating Direct who made this all possible.
