I was a member of Dating direct in 2004 / 2005 and after a few unsuccessful dates, with nice enough guys but who weren't for me, I was about to give up looking. I had one last look at the new members page and saw Andy 43 in my area. His profile and description of himself sounded great, although there was no photo but never mind I thought, I will contact him anyway. It was my 40th birthday and I was feeling a bit down about being on my own on such a milestone. A day or so later Andy emailed me back, we emailed texted and rang each other and it was great. His reason for being on there, apart from obviously being divorced and wanting to love again was that he just agreed to keep his sister company when she joined up! A few weeks later we finally got to meet up and to cut a long story short, after having loved each other for the last 4 and a bit years, we got married 5 weeks ago! I gave myself the best 40th birthday present ever and it might be corny but my life really did begin at 40!
